White Ibis
Eudocimus albus

White Ibis is actually the species that inspired me to purchase a video camera; in early summer of 2003, I spotted a White Ibis flying at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in New York City, well out of the normal range for the species. I had no means of recording the sighting (thankfully another birder took note, so the report was generally accepted); I vowed never to be without a recording device again! I spotted this bird in Florida in June of 2005, where it is hard to miss the species- I would have collected better images if not for humidity-related technical difficulties!

A modest look at the beautiful White Ibis.
