Palm Tanager
Thraupis palmarum

Palm Tanager is an extremely common species in the northern neotropics- I first saw the species in Trinidad, where it was a regular visitor to fruit feeders at the Asa Wright Nature Centre. There are no fruit feeders at the Canopy Tower in Panama, but Palm Tanagers are seen with regularity feeding on the fruits of a cecropia tree, where this bird was filmed in September, 2004.
