Collared Redstart
Myioborus torquatus

Collared Redstart is a regular among mixed-species flocks in the highlands of western Panama. I saw the species almost every day on my visit to the region in July of 2005. The species was generally fast-moving and elusive, so I was thrilled to capture a bit of video of the bird pictured below on my walk down from El Respingo, on the western side of the Sendero Los Quetzales.

A decent look at a stunning Collared Redstart.
