| Capped Heron is a somewhat uncommon neotropical species, and in Panama can be most reliably found in the early part of the rainy season on the Summit Ponds, near the Canopy Tower. The bird pictured below was filmed by flashlight on a night tour from the Tower in July of 2005, it's ghostly-white plumage making it the perfect rossting bird of the night. |
